The Person Behind The Frogface
About Me
Hi, I’m Sean, though some of you might know me as Uncle Frogface. I’m a former teacher and performer who has taken life’s unexpected turns and transformed them into opportunities for creativity and connection.
In 2009, my life changed dramatically following a motorbike accident that left me with a brain injury, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), and, ultimately, reliant on a wheelchair for several years. It was a challenging journey, but it led me to rediscover the healing power of art and creativity—a gift that became central to my recovery and my purpose.
As part of this journey, I launched a YouTube channel (@unclefrogface) to share my experiences and to support others on their mental health journeys. Through videos that combine creativity, storytelling, and encouragement, I aim to inspire others to find joy in self-expression and art.
I’ve always been captivated by wildlife, and this passion shines through in much of my artwork. Whether it’s a majestic bird of prey or a delicate woodland scene, I love capturing the beauty of the natural world. But my creativity doesn’t stop there—I paint a variety of subjects that speak to the soul and spark the imagination.
When I’m not painting, you’ll find me diving headfirst into geek culture and indulging my love for theatre. From comic books to stage productions, I’m a massive nerd with a deep appreciation for storytelling in all its forms.
To share my creations with the world, I’ve set up the Studio Store. Here, you’ll find a collection of my artwork available for purchase, with new pieces added regularly. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast, an art lover, or just someone who appreciates creativity, I hope my work brings you as much joy as it brings me to create.
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet. I’m excited to share this journey with you!
